Elizabeth Eckford ignores the hostile screams and stares of fellow students on her first day of school on Sept. 6, 1957, in Little Rock, Ark. She was one of the nine African American students whose integration into Little Rock’s Central High School was ordered by a federal court following legal action by the NAACP. (via)
What is true love? I think the vast majority of people have not a clue. I ask myself this all the time. The best definition I can come up with is that true love is an unconditional affection towards someone who you truly know on the inside and never want to be absent in your life. Very few people find this with a romantic partner without deluding themselves. It’s something we need to have. Imagine how people turn out who don’t get this type of love from anyone including their families. And it’s ironic how the pursuit of this can cause some of the greatest pain. I guess it’s so hard to come up with a definition of love because love is a spectrum, and one’s definition of “true” love depends on were on the spectrum they decide it to be. I’m tired, I wrote this instead of my essay for English. I’m going to sleep. ramble ramble
